Forest | Interactive installation | 2025
As a project for HKU Erik de Jong, Robert Smit, Finn Wolthuis and myself made this installation. When you walk on to the forest you will leave a trail of fire behind. The music, lights and smoke will react based on how much of the forest is gone.This project was based on the events of march 2025, where thousands of hectares of the amazon rainforest were cut down to build a road to an upcoming climatecongress in Belém (Brazil).With this project we tried to raise awereness of this ubscure scenario.
Within this project I was responsible for linking the lights to the sound and changing te color based on how much of the forest is left.
